FIND District VII

In celebration of a successful 1999 Fall Dialogue and a strong district, a $100 dollar scholarship will be awarded annually to one high school student and one college student.

Who is eligible?

High school seniors within the state of Virginia.

What are the requirements?

At least a 2.5 (out of a 4.0 scale) GPA
Active in Fil-am organization or in the Filipino Community
And a short essay no longer then one page and with a font no smaller or bigger then 12 pica double spacing using Times New Roman answering the following question:

What should the role of a Filipino/Filipino-American association be within their community?

All applications become property of FIND D7 and will be checked closely for plagiarism and accuracy.

The award may be awarded in a US Savings Bond to ensure that the receiver will at least hold onto it for the next school semester hopefully to pay for books or something towards school.

* The deadline has passed for college students to qualify for this year's award. The prize for high-school students is up for grabs until the end of April due to no responses being received by the original deadline.
